Slipstreaming SATA Driver to Windows XP CD

This guide already posted on many blog( i think ), but I still want to post this topic in case somebody still want to know how to do it.

This guide not necessarily only for Compact CQ40, it also may work on Laptop that doesnt have the setting for Harddisk in BIOS. What I mean is, we cant change the setting from AHCI to ATA in your BIOS setting page( This is done to make sure the Blue Screen doesnt come up when you try to install windows XP ). Thats why we need to slipstream the SATA HDD driver to the windows XP installation file so that the Blue Screen doesnt popup.  

Requirement :
1) A copy of Windows XP SP2 ( If possible ) = Put it into a new folder on your desktop. (easy to browse and please dont use .iso or any type of image file)


2) A software called nLite.

3) Extracted SATA driver for windows XP.
*** For laptop with Intel chipset Intel 82801GR/GH, 631xESB/632xESB, 82801GHM, ICH8R/ICH9R,     82801HEM SATA RAID Controller, Click HERE to download. ***

*** XP Drivers for your Toshiba A205-S5831, Click HERE to download ***
*** If you dont know what type of SATA driver you need for your laptop, please read THIS ***

Follow the steps below :

1)

Run nLite and click NEXT.

2)

Browse for your Win XP SP2 folder and click NEXT

3)

Ignore this page and click NEXT

4)

Click on Drivers & Bootable ISO and click NEXT

5)

Click "Insert" > "Single Driver"

6)

Browse for the SATA Driver that you have extracted from the zip/rar file that you download earlier. Therere 2 of them. Choose 1 "iaahci.inf" and click OPEN.

7)

Above windows will popup. Select "Textmode Driver" and highlight all of it by pressing CTRL + A and click OK.

8)

After you clicked the "OK" button, you will see above windows. Click NEXT.

9)

Click YES to start the process.

10)

Let the process finish and click NEXT.

11)

Now, you can Burn to your empty Disk or Create an Image file. To Burn, just click "BURN" button. ***P/S : dont click NEXT in this windows ***

12)

Click YES to start.

13)

After the process of burning complete, Click NEXT and you will see the above windows. Click Finish to exit nLite. Now you can try to format your laptop. ***Note that different laptop may need different version of SATA HDD driver. If you choose the wrong driver, you will end up BLUE SCREEN. Good LUCK!!!

BANJARMASINPOST.CO.ID - Microsoft berhasil menjual 40 juta lisensi Windows 8 dalam waktu sebulan sejak sistem operasi terbaru itu dirilis 26 Oktober 2012. Penjualan Windows 8 lebih cepat dibandingkan Windows 7 pada tiga tahun lalu.

Hal ini diungkapkan oleh Kepala Keuangan dan Pemasaran Windows di Microsoft, Tami Reller. Namun, ia tidak merinci banyaknya penjualan lisensi antara upgrade oleh konsumen dan dari pembelian komputer baru yang telah dibenamkan Windows 8.

Sistem operasi sebelumnya, Windows 7, berhasil terjual lebih dari 60 juta lisensi dalam 10 pekan pertama sejak dirilis pada 2009.

"Momentum upgrade ke Windows 8 berhasil melampaui Windows 7," kata Reller dalam konferensi investor yang diselenggarakan Credit Suisse, Selasa (27/11/2012).

Menurut lembaga riset teknologi StatCounter, dari sekitar 1,5 miliar komputer pribadi yang ada di dunia, ada 1% atau sekitar 15 juta yang telah menjalankan sistem operasi Windows 8. Perkembangan yang bisa disebut lumayan untuk sebuah sistem operasi baru.

Konferensi investor yang diselenggarakan Credit Suisse ini, adalah penampilan pertama Reller di depan investor sejak ia diangkat sebagai salah satu eksekutif yang menjalankan bisnis unit Windows.

Bersama Julie Larson Reller dipercaya menggantikan Steven sosok yang selama ini bertanggung jawab atas pengembangan Windows 8, namun pada akhirnya ia memutuskan hengkan dari microsoft 12 November lalu.

Windows 8 tak hanya dirancang untuk komputer pribadi saja, tapi juga untuk komputer tablet. Melalui sistem operasi ini yang dimaksimalkan untuk layar sentuh ini, Microsoft berharap dapat membangkitkan industri PC yang lesu, dan dapat menandingi perangkat tablet Android dan iPad.

Install MS-UAA first:
both ms-uaa sp33867 and kb888111 are similar files.

Then reinstall the audio driver and restart again.

FOR INTEL GRAPHIC:
There are problems with intel graphic which is blank screen after installation (I already updated with new driver -  feb 7 2013), there is a safe way to get the right driver. GO http://downloadcenter.intel.com/
