Apple Releases 17 inch MacBook Pro

Today at Macworld apple has just announced the new 17-inch MacBook Pro. The new 17-inch MacBook Pro is almost identical to the 15-inch version with just a few meager changes including:

17 inch Screen Size

A $50 Matte Finish option that will get rid of the overly reflective glossy screen.

There is also a new integrated battery that will not be removable, but will last longer with up to 8 hours of battery life. The battery is also supposed to last up to 1,000 charges. This could be both good and bad because you will be getting better battery life, but then again you will not be able to have a backup battery just in case. Also what about when your battery does end up going bad, what will you have to do to get a new one?

As far as the hardware, expect to see a great improvement over the previous gen 17-inch MacBook Pro, but compared to the new 15-inch MacBook Pro it is exactly the same with 4GB DDR3 RAM, 320GB HDD and NVIDEA Geforce 9400M + 9600M GT. There is an improvement in the processor with an upgrade the 2.66 GHz Core 2 Duo.

All this comes at a cost of $2,799 which seems very high, but this is nothing new for apple laptops.

Baik Baik Sayang 2011

Satu lagi film layar lebar Indonesia yang akan meramaikan awal tahun 2011. Film berjudul Baik Baik Sayang ini bercerita tentang cinta dan kesetiakawanan anak-anak pesantren La Tansa, yaitu Apoy, Faank, Tomi dan Ovie. Empat pemuda yang memiliki minat sama terhadap musik itu sepakat membentuk grup musik yang belakangan diklaim sebagai band WALI.

Ya, judul film ini diangkat dari judul lagu Baik Baik Sayang yang dibawakan oleh band WALI. Lagu yang memecahkan rekor Muri dengan download RBT mencapai 18 juta. Kehidupan religius pesantren tidak membatasi aktifitas bermusik mereka. Walaupun La Tansa memiliki peraturan dan disiplin yang sangat ketat, diantaranya harus selalu berkomunikasi dalam bahasa Arab atau Inggris di lingkungan pesantren, tapi pesantren ini sangat modern dan demokratis. Santrinya bebas melakukan aktifitas ekstrakulikuler sesuai dengan minat masing-masing. Dakwahpun bisa dilakukan dengan berbagai cara.

Ada juga kisah cinta Faank dengan Westi (Intan Nuraini), yang penuh liku karena tak disetujui orang tua Westi. Sementara orang tuanya juga melarang dia bermusik. Kesetiaan cinta Faank juga diuji saat keduanya mengalami kecelakaan. Belakangan Faank dikabari bahwa Westi lumpuh.

Kesetiaan cinta Faank dan Westi juga sempat goyah lantaran kehadiran santri cantik Azizah (Arumi Bachsin) dan Nurul (Sulis) yang manis dan kenes. Apalagi Westi akan dijodohkan dengan anak orang kaya bernama Bagas (Dennis Adhiswara).

Tomi yang tak tega melihat nasib sahabatnya, berniat menjodohkan Faank dengan salah satu santri wanita. Sementara Apoy yang paling dewasa pun bisa cemburu saat melihat Azizah terlihat akrab dengan Faank. Dan si pendiam Ovie yang kreatif selalu berhasil menggagalkan provokasi Hamzah (Cecep Reza) yang selalu ingin mengganggu kesetiakawanan mereka.

Selain Mandra yang didaulat untuk menjadi pengamen di film besutan Somad Suteja ini. Baik Baik Sayang juga menampilkan cameo Syahrini dan Anang. Sederet bintang senior seperti Didi Petet, Nova Soraya, Asmiar Yahya, Wawan Wanizar, August Melasz dan Alicia Djohar ikut meramaikan film ini.

Cerita Baik Baik Sayang mengalir penuh liku yang dramatis dengan bumbu komedi yang segar berkat skenario dari Jujur Prananto ( Petualangan Sherina, Ada Apa Dengan Cinta).
